A quick guide and template for how to ask your ERG members to tell their story about their experience with your group.
As the year comes to a close, it's an amazing time to use Member Stories to generate Qualitative Data to be used in your Year End Reporting.
Here's how you do it:
- Set aside 15m in your next meeting.
- Generate breakout rooms of 2-3 people, and then give the rooms a prompt like "How has our ERG impacted your experience at [company]?" (More questions are in the resource above!)
- While someone is giving their answer, ask the other members to write down the sentences they say that really stand out.
- At the end, have everyone submit their favorite quotes by dropping them into a document/spreadsheet/form.
Use these quotes within your end of year report to add a splash of color when describing the positive impact your ERG is having on employees' experience.
